I work for a hospital and many of my coworkers who are not registered are being threatened with unemployment if they do not become registered techs, at the end of this month. They have finished their A-step program and have previously taken the test but failed. Does my employer have any real grounds on firing them if they do not become registered. Remember this is not a disciplinary issue just registration. i have personally seen and heard their warnings and feel that this is totally unjust. Is there anyone out there that can advise me in anyway pertaining to this issue? Has anyone heard of any policies from the AASM or sleep related organization laws that can help?

Please help.
